Canstar Resources Inc.C
Canstar Resources Inc. (TSXV: ROX) is a VMS (volcanogenic massive sulphide) explorer for zinc, copper, lead, silver and gold. Its flagship is the Mary March VMS project (about 148 km2) in the Buchans district of Central Newfoundland, near the past-producing Buchans mine, which it is advancing with earn-in partner VMS Mining Corporation (VMSC): VMSC funds the work at the project level, has invested C$4.0 million to date, and holds a 10% indirect interest that rises to 15% on completion of its Phase 1 option. The 2026 program, the first drilling at Mary March since 2019, intersected 15.6 m of massive sulphide grading 2.3% CuEq, including 9.75 m at 3.3% CuEq (August 2026). In June 2026 Canstar signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Northern Skellefte VMS project in Sweden (about 68,000 hectares including adjacent permit applications), subject to TSX Venture Exchange acceptance and closing conditions. It optioned its Golden Baie gold-antimony project in Newfoundland to Churchill Resources in March 2026, keeping a 0.5% NSR royalty and Churchill shares. No resource has been estimated on any of its projects.

Acquisition Susceptibility
A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal in the research, a producer that already owns part of the company, is scored from its disclosed strategic shareholders. A producer that is a joint-venture or earn-in partner on the project, rather than a shareholder, isn't captured yet.

Not scored: most juniors that do get bought had no prior toehold, so a missing stake says little either way.
