Stephen J. Piercey

Exploration Advisor to Canstar Resources Inc. P.Geo., FGC. A University Research Professor and Full Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences at Memorial University of Newfoundland, where he leads the Piercey Research Group, and a consulting geologist with Piercey Geosciences Inc. An expert in economic geology specialising in lithostratigraphy, volcanology, hydrothermal alteration and geochemistry, and a recognised expert in volcanogenic massive sulphide mineralization -- directly relevant to Canstar's Buchans-Mary March VMS project. A Memorial University alumnus (BSc Hons, MSc) with a PhD from UBC. A Fellow of Geoscientists Canada and a recipient of the Duncan R. Derry Medal; has secured over $9 million in research funding, published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers and supervised 50+ graduate students and postdoctoral researchers.
