Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Silvercorp Metals Inc., which he founded in 2003. Served as CEO Sep 2003-Oct 2013, transforming Silvercorp from a small Canadian junior exploration company into a successful, low-cost, mid-tier silver producer with multiple mines in China; re-appointed CEO Dec 2014. B.Sc./M.Sc. (Geology, China); Ph.D. (Geological Sciences), University of Saskatchewan (1992); NSERC Post-Doctoral fellowship. Publicly credited with being integral to the 2002 discovery of Jinshan Gold's CSH Gold Mine (Inner Mongolia, later part of China Gold International) prior to founding Silvercorp. Also founder and Chairman/CEO of New Pacific Metals Corp. and Auro Metals Inc.
