Earlier career: Buenaventura itself (Treasury Head, 1990-1997, an earlier stint at the same company he now leads, not written as an external role) and Sociedad Minera El Brocal (Finance Manager, to 2000, a distinct majority-owned but separately-listed group company), before a decade-long detour into pharmacy retail as General Manager of Boticas BTL (to 2005) and then Boticas Inkafarma, Peru's largest pharmacy chain (2005-Jun 2011).
