Before Kinross, a long investment-banking career: Deputy Head of Investment Banking at Scotia Capital; Managing Director/Head of Americas for the mining group at Deutsche Bank AG; and a senior member of the mining team at BMO Nesbitt Burns. Began his career as an exploration geologist.
