Xpedra Resources Limited (formerly Thunderbird Resources Limited, renamed December 2025) is a Subiaco (WA)-headquartered explorer whose current project focus, per its own site, is the New England Orogen of New South Wales, Australia -- the 100%-owned Springfield gold deposit (central NSW) and the Rockvale gold-antimony project (northern NSW) -- plus uranium interests in the Athabasca Basin region of Canada. Broader company materials also describe exploration interests in Peru (copper, lithium, silver, rare earths), though the active, currently-reported project news centers on the NSW assets. What goes into it
  • Jurisdiction (40%)9/10

New South Wales: Fraser PPI 2025 is 73.26 of 100 (rank 37 of 68), which maps to 9 on this site's scale. New South Wales, Australia -- Tier-1 mining jurisdiction.

  • Infrastructure (40%)No verified figure

Researched with nothing found: no source we could cite confirms or rules out an existing mill, road access, grid power, or tailings facility at Springfield Gold Deposit, Central New South Wales, Australia (checked Sep 30, 2026; recheck due Mar 29, 2027). Counts at a neutral 5/10 until one does.

  • Nearby producing mine (20%)Not yet researched

No producing mine within 50 km in our reference list (nearest listed: Hill End (Reward) (Vertex Minerals Limited), 67 km). That list doesn't cover every mining district yet, so a longer distance isn't scored as remote.

Acquisition Susceptibility

How this is calculated
4.5/10
Unlikely bolt-onFits the takeout profile

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal in the research, a producer that already owns part of the company, is scored from its disclosed strategic shareholders. A producer that is a joint-venture or earn-in partner on the project, rather than a shareholder, isn't captured yet.

How this score is built

  • Disclosed pending deal
    Sub-score: Not scored

No pending acquisition or merger disclosed (checked)

Not scored: having no deal in flight isn't held against a company.

    Weight 26.25%
  • Producer's strategic stake
    Sub-score: Not scored

No producer holds a disclosed stake on file (holder register researched) See holders

Not scored: most juniors that do get bought had no prior toehold, so a missing stake says little either way.

Technical Report Takeaways

Xpedra Resources, formerly Thunderbird Resources, focuses on the New England Orogen of New South Wales, with the 100%-owned Springfield gold deposit in central New South Wales and the Rockvale gold-antimony project in the north of the state, and also holds uranium interests in Canada's Athabasca Basin. Its maiden 27-hole, 2,579m reverse-circulation program at Springfield, the first drilling there since 1999, confirmed continuous shallow gold mineralisation over 400m of strike, and follow-up hole SFRC025 returned 94m at 2.00 g/t gold from 80m, including 13m at 10.21 g/t gold.
