Torque Metals Limited
Torque Metals is a Western Australian gold explorer whose primary asset is the Paris Gold Project in the Boulder-Lefroy Fault Zone near Kalgoorlie. The company delivered a maiden JORC resource of 250,000oz at 3.1g/t gold in September 2024 and is running a multi-rig drilling campaign through 2026.
Lifecycle Milestones
A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal the underlying research identifies — whether a major already holds a JV, earn-in, or 5–19.9% strategic stake — isn't tracked yet and is absent from this score.

Management Team
Career spans Jubilee Mines, Silver Lake Resources, and Northern Star Resources as a founding member, before leading Spartan Resources. As Managing Director and later Executive Chair of Spartan, he led its transformation from a struggling open-cut operation into the high-grade Never Never/Pepper underground discovery story, culminating in Spartan's ~$2.5 billion merger with Ramelius Resources in July 2025, after which he became Deputy Chair of Ramelius. Also a non-executive director of Gorilla Gold Mines and Mammoth Minerals.
Mining engineer with more than 28 years' underground hard-rock mining experience in Western Australia.
Insiders, Investors & Smart Money
Notable shareholders and insiders whose involvement is worth knowing about, plus what we're seeing from institutional/large-investor activity.
Checked, and little turned up beyond one named line. Torque's own site publishes no shareholder register or capital-structure disclosure, institutional ownership is reported at 8% and directors and management hold about 24.7%. Franklin Resources holds a real 6.21% -- a generalist institutional position, not a resource specialist. No producer, strategic corporate or dedicated resource fund could be confirmed on the register, and no farm-in or joint venture with a major over the Paris gold project in Western Australia was identified. As with any ASX company of this size, the rest of the published top 20 is dominated by custodian nominee lines that reveal nothing about beneficial ownership.
