Garibaldi Resources Corp. (TSXV: GGI) has spent roughly a decade drilling its 100%-owned E&L Nickel Mountain nickel-copper-cobalt-PGE massive sulphide discovery, ~18km southwest of the Eskay Creek mine, northwest BC. Individual drill intercepts have been very high grade (e.g. 7.3% Ni and 3.3% Cu over 9.9m) and the company describes historic massive sulphide material averaging 6.6% Ni/3.2% Cu/0.2% Co/4 g/t 3E (Pt+Pd+Au) -- among the highest nickel grades recorded in magmatic sulphide deposits globally. A non-brokered private placement (up to $3.3M) was announced Apr 2026 under the Listed Issuer Financing Exemption.

Jurisdiction (40%)9/10
British Columbia: Fraser PPI 2025 is 74.28 of 100 (rank 31 of 68), which maps to 9 on this site's scale. The E&L Nickel Mountain project is in the Liard Mining Division of northwest British Columbia, a Tier-1 Canadian mining jurisdiction.
Infrastructure (40%)No verified figure
Researched with nothing found: no source we could cite confirms or rules out an existing mill, road access, grid power, or tailings facility at E&L Nickel Mountain Project, Liard Mining Division, British Columbia, Canada (checked Oct 1, 2026; recheck due Mar 30, 2027). Counts at a neutral 5/10 until one does.
Nearby producing mine (20%)Not yet researched
No project coordinates on file yet, so distance to a producing mine can't be measured.
Acquisition Susceptibility
A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal in the research, a producer that already owns part of the company, is scored from its disclosed strategic shareholders. A producer that is a joint-venture or earn-in partner on the project, rather than a shareholder, isn't captured yet.
How this score is built
- Disclosed pending dealSub-score: Not scored
No pending acquisition or merger disclosed (checked)
Not scored: having no deal in flight isn't held against a company.
Weight 26.25% - Producer's strategic stakeSub-score: Not scored
No producer holds a disclosed stake on file (holder register researched) See holders
Not scored: most juniors that do get bought had no prior toehold, so a missing stake says little either way.

Distance not yet researched: no project coordinates on file
Distance can't be measured without coordinates, so excluded rather than counted as far.

Reports, Presentations & Documents
Garibaldi Resources owns 100% of the E&L Nickel Mountain project in north-western British Columbia, a nickel-copper-cobalt-PGE massive sulphide discovery about 18km south-west of the Eskay Creek mine that it has drilled for roughly a decade. Individual drill intercepts have been high grade, including 7.3% nickel and 3.3% copper over 9.9m. Despite that drilling, no NI 43-101 resource has been estimated for E&L or any of the company's other properties, which include Otter Creek, Red Lion, Grizzly, King and holdings in Mexico, and the grade figures it quotes for historical massive sulphide material are not a resource. In April 2026 it announced a non-brokered private placement of up to C$3.3M under the listed issuer financing exemption.
