Anglesey Mining plc (AIM: AYM) owns 100% of Parys Mountain, a copper-zinc-lead-silver-gold volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) project in North Wales with a centuries-long mining history. Its March 2023 resource update for the Morfa Du zone added the project's first Measured resource: Measured 1.30 Mt at 2.32% zinc and Indicated 3.98 Mt at 2.39% zinc, for 125,400 t of contained zinc, plus 10.79 Mt Inferred across Parys Mountain, most of it in the copper-rich Northern Copper Zone. The company's current study is a January 2021 preliminary economic assessment (PEA) by Micon International, which predates the 2023 update. Its base case (Case A: 1,500 tonnes per day for 12 years at US$1.20/lb zinc) gives an after-tax NPV at a 10% discount rate of US$26.0 million and an IRR of 17.5%, on pre-production capital of US$70.4 million including contingency. The company's presentations quote the study's larger 3,000-tonne-per-day Case C, which gives US$120 million and a 26% IRR before tax, or US$92.1 million and 23.6% after tax. A newer study is in progress: Anglesey ran an internal, illustrative update of the 2021 PEA at current metal prices and costs in July 2026, and says an updated PEA will evaluate the project on current market assumptions and engineering inputs. In 2026 the company gave up its stakes in Labrador Iron Mines and the Grangesberg iron ore project in exchange for cancelling most of its debt, raised new equity, and appointed a new chief executive and board; it is now focused solely on Parys Mountain.

Acquisition Susceptibility
A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal in the research, a producer that already owns part of the company, is scored from its disclosed strategic shareholders. A producer that is a joint-venture or earn-in partner on the project, rather than a shareholder, isn't captured yet.
