Alligator Energy LimitedA
Alligator Energy's flagship is the Samphire ISR uranium project, 20km south of Whyalla, South Australia. The most recent full economic study on record -- a Dec 2023 scoping study on the Blackbush deposit -- outlined a post-tax NPV8% of A$257M, a 42% IRR, initial capex of A$131M, average production of 1.2Mlb U3O8/yr and a 12-year mine life (10Mlb total from Blackbush alone). Since then: a maiden Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate (+12Mlb, 19 Jun 2026) brought total Samphire resources to 30Mlb U3O8, and a first-well-pattern ISR field recovery trial met its ~70% recovery target over ~70 pore-volume exchanges in 2026. Neither of those 2026 results has yet been rolled into an updated economic study -- a Bankable Feasibility Study is underway, with an updated MRE expected early 2027 and the BFS itself targeted mid-2027.

Jurisdiction (40%)9/10
South Australia: Fraser PPI 2025 is 85.47 of 100 (rank 16 of 68), which maps to 9 on this site's scale. The Samphire uranium project is on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula, a top-tier, well-established mining jurisdiction that also hosts Boss Energy's Honeymoon ISR project.
Infrastructure (40%)4.3/10
No confirmed tailings facility at Samphire Uranium Project (Blackbush Deposit), Eyre Peninsula, South Australia; existing mill, road access, and grid power not yet researched, counted at a neutral 5/10 until established.
Nearby producing mine (20%)Not yet researched
No producing mine within 50 km in our reference list (nearest listed: Carrapateena (BHP Group Limited), 220 km). That list doesn't cover every mining district yet, so a longer distance isn't scored as remote.
Acquisition Susceptibility
A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal in the research, a producer that already owns part of the company, is scored from its disclosed strategic shareholders. A producer that is a joint-venture or earn-in partner on the project, rather than a shareholder, isn't captured yet.

No pending acquisition or merger disclosed (checked)
Not scored: having no deal in flight isn't held against a company.
Weight 26.25% - Producer's strategic stakeSub-score: Not yet researched

Not scored: most juniors that do get bought had no prior toehold, so a missing stake says little either way.

Reports, Presentations & Documents
Alligator Energy's flagship is the Samphire in-situ recovery uranium project, about 20 km south of Whyalla in South Australia, and it also holds the Big Lake uranium project and ground in the Alligator Rivers uranium province. Samphire's resource rose 67% to 30 Mlb of U3O8 in June 2026 with a maiden inferred estimate of 12 Mlb at the Plumbush deposit; the indicated category, all at the Blackbush deposit, holds 14,200,000 lb of U3O8, with Blackbush's remaining 3,800,000 lb inferred. The December 2023 updated scoping study on Blackbush shows a post-tax NPV8% of US$179.9M (AUD 257M) and a 42% IRR at US$75/lb U3O8, with initial capital of US$91.9M (AUD 131.3M), a 12-year mine life producing about 1.2 Mlb a year and an all-in sustaining cost of US$33.31/lb. A field recovery trial in 2026 met its target of about 70% recovery, and a bankable feasibility study is under way, with an updated resource expected in early 2027.
