Canadian mining financier and entrepreneur. Founded Yorkton Securities before building and taking public a series of resource companies, including Wheaton River Minerals (merged into Goldcorp in 2005) and Uranium One. Co-founder of the Fiore Group, a private investment and merchant-banking firm active across mining and other sectors. Known for backing early-stage resource juniors with direct personal capital, often becoming one of the largest disclosed shareholders.
