Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder and Director of Alaska Silver Corp (formerly Western Alaska Copper & Gold, renamed Western Alaska Minerals, then Alaska Silver effective April 24, 2025). (B.Sc., M.Sc.) Over 25 years of experience in mineral exploration and development, property evaluation and project financing in Alaska and Mexico. Worked for Anaconda Minerals Company, Kennecott/Bear Creek Mining, Watts Griffis & McQuat and Penoles, SA de CV. In 1981 was project geologist for the Illinois Creek/Round Top Project for Anaconda. Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Economic Geology, University of Arizona; served 2005-2021 on the Advisory Board for the university's Department of Geosciences. Per the company's own June 11, 2026 press release, Marrs is scheduled to become Executive Chairman and be succeeded as CEO by director Aaron Schutt effective October 1, 2026; as of this research pass (Aug 9, 2026) that transition has not yet taken effect and the company's own team page still shows him as CEO, so CEO is the role written here.
