Bernhard Dold

Chief Technology Officer of Cerro de Pasco Resources Inc.; the company prints his name with the honorific 'Dr.'. A globally recognized authority in environmental geochemistry, acid mine drainage, metal mobility in tailings and mine remediation, and author of over 100 scientific publications advancing the understanding of geochemical behaviours and sustainable practices in mining. His influential studies include "Speciation of arsenic and antimony in mine tailings and runoff waters from the mines in the Iberian Pyrite Belt, Spain" (Applied Geochemistry, 2005) and "Sulfide oxidation and acid mine drainage formation in mine waste environments" (Environmental Science & Technology, 2010). As both professor and consultant he has led field investigations and developed remediation strategies across Latin America, Europe and Africa. At CDPR he leads technical innovation and environmental strategy for the flagship Quiulacocha deposit, directing sequential extraction test design and geochemical modeling.
