Robert I. Valliant

A Director of International Prospect Ventures Ltd. (TSXV: IZZ). Honours B.Sc. in Geology, University of Waterloo, and a Ph.D. in Economic Geology, University of Western Ontario. More than 40 years of experience in mineral exploration and mining in Canada, Australia and Nevada. Co-founded Tri Origin Exploration Ltd (now NewOrigin Gold Corp.) and was responsible for its TSX listing, and is now Chairman of NewOrigin; also founded and was responsible for the ASX and TSX listing of TriAusMin Ltd. Prior to Tri Origin he was Vice President Exploration for LAC Minerals Ltd, one of Canada's largest gold producers before its takeover by Barrick Gold Corp. During his career he has been closely involved with the discovery and development of major gold deposits in Canada including Hemlo, Bousquet and Bousquet #2, as well as in Australia and the United States. A member of the Society of Economic Geologists, the Geological Association of Canada and the Australian Institute of Geoscientists, and has served as a director of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.
