Alvin W. Jackson

Professional geologist with over 40 years of experience in mineral exploration and mine development. Founded EuroZinc Mining Corp., which acquired the Neves-Corvo copper mine and Aljustrel zinc-copper mine in Portugal and grew to a market capitalization of over $1.8 billion before being acquired by Lundin Mining, serving as President and COO while Neves-Corvo produced roughly 200 million lbs of copper annually. Earlier held senior exploration manager roles with Amoco Minerals/Cyprus Minerals in Canada, Norway, and New Zealand, contributing to the Detour Lake, Golden Cross, and Huckleberry deposits, all of which became producing mines. Has served as VP Exploration and Development and Director of Freegold Ventures Limited since 2010/2011.
