Copperalso:Silverking copper-silver JV, 35%, Mumbwa, Zambia (in production since Jul 2026, operator Oval Mining) Map

Xtract Resources Plc (AIM: XTR), chaired by Colin Bird, is a copper-focused explorer-developer that entered production in 2026. Its most advanced asset is the Silverking copper-silver project at Mumbwa, Zambia, where Xtract acquired a 35% joint-venture interest in February 2026 for US$1.5 million in cash, payable in two equal instalments with the balance due by 31 March 2026 and no conditions precedent; Oval Mining Limited holds Small-Scale Mining Licence 34544-HQ-SML and operates, Cooperlemon Consultancy Limited is the third party, and Xtract nominates two of the four operating-committee representatives and receives 35% of quarterly distributions. The plant and tailings facility were already built by the partner before Xtract bought in. Initial production of mixed oxide-sulphide ore through a flotation plant commenced on 9 July 2026, targeting an optimised throughput of 28 tonnes per hour, though the company cautions that steady-state throughput and concentrate tonnage and grade remain unproven pending optimisation; Silverking has no JORC-compliant resource, only an in-house estimate. In Morocco, Xtract raised its interest in Wildstone SARL from 50% to 80% and has been granted a mining licence for the Amghas antimony project, relocating processing plant infrastructure from Casablanca ahead of installing a gravity plant. Its largest and best-known asset, the 100%-owned Bushranger copper-gold project in New South Wales, Australia, carries a JORC (2012) Mineral Resource Estimate with an effective date of 31 October 2022 totalling 599Mt at 0.22% CuEq -- Racecourse 512Mt at 0.22% CuEq (announced 23 November 2022) plus a maiden Ascot resource of 87Mt at 0.22% CuEq (announced 19 December 2022) -- but only 50.15Mt of that is Indicated, the remaining 548.9Mt being Inferred, and it is reported at a 0.1% CuEq cut-off with a higher-grade 191Mt at 0.33% CuEq subset at a 0.2% CuEq cut-off. Bushranger has never had a scoping study, PEA, pre-feasibility or feasibility study -- the pit-optimisation modelling done in 2023 excluded capital costs -- and is currently dormant, generating no announcements in 2025 or 2026. Xtract disposed of its 23% interest in the Manica Gold project in Mozambique on 24 January 2024 for an initial US$3.325 million plus US$15 million in staged payments to December 2028, and earns no gold revenue from it; its Western Foreland and Chilibwe Zambian earn-ins were relinquished and impaired.

Construction Milestones

3 of 5 reached
  1. Reached — date not disclosed · Task #121. Reached, date not disclosed. Small-Scale Mining Licence 34544-HQ-SML for the Silverking copper-silver project (Mumbwa, Zambia) is held by Oval Mining Limited, the JV operator, and is named in the 9 July 2026 production RNS -- the mine could not lawfully be producing without it. No grant date was found in any source this pass, so achievedDate is left null per the schema's 'reached, date not disclosed' convention rather than inventing one. Separately and not the anchor for this row: a mining licence was granted for the Amghas antimony project in Morocco (Xtract 80% of Wildstone SARL) in 2026, where Xtract is itself relocating processing plant infrastructure from Casablanca. NOTE: CONSTRUCTION_DECISION and CONSTRUCTION_START are deliberately NOT recorded for this miner. The build predates Xtract's involvement entirely -- the 3 Feb 2026 JV RNS records that 'a plant with a targeted throughput of up to 500 tonnes per day' and 'a tailings facility' had already been constructed by Oval's agent Cooperlemon before Xtract acquired its 35%. There is therefore no Xtract FID and no Xtract construction start to record; playbook 7.3 forbids inventing a milestone row to make the audit green. Those two enforced gate violations are knowingly left open, and may not be closable from Xtract's own disclosure at all. · Source
  2. Not yet reached · Carried forward verbatim from this miner's own constructionMilestone:CONSTRUCTION_DECISION MetricStatus note (Task #672, status RESEARCHED_UNKNOWN): "LEGITIMATE DIVERGENCE -- no Xtract construction decision exists and none can. This reasoning was already researched and written down under Task #121, but ONLY inside this miner's PERMIT_GRANTED milestone note, where nothing looking at the CONSTRUCTION_DECISION gate would find it. This row moves the ruling to where the gate actually looks; the finding itself is Task #121's, not new. Xtract Resources Plc acquired a 35% joint-venture interest in the Silverking copper-silver project (Mumbwa, Zambia) in February 2026 for US$1.5 million cash. Oval Mining Limited holds Small-Scale Mining Licence 34544-HQ-SML and operates; Xtract nominates two of four operating-committee representatives. The 3 Feb 2026 JV RNS records that 'a plant with a targeted throughput of up to 500 tonnes per day' and 'a tailings facility' had ALREADY been constructed by Oval's agent Cooperlemon before Xtract acquired its interest. Production commenced 2026-07-09. There is therefore no Xtract FID and no Xtract construction start to record -- the build predates Xtract's involvement entirely. Same acquired-asset shape as the CMCL/Blanket, IPT/Zacualpan, TBR/EKJV and KSN/Mineral Hill precedents." Task #922: written as a real disputed=true/disputedKind=CONFIRMED_NON_OCCURRENCE row now that Task #792/#793 built the generic exemption mechanism (hasConfirmedPermanentDivergence() in src/lib/lifecycle-gates.ts) and Task #807 already established the exact pattern for this ticker's sibling CONSTRUCTION_START row -- Task #807's own TARGETS list simply never included this (ticker, milestone) pair. sourceUrl reuses the same 3 February 2026 RNS already cited on this miner's disputed CONSTRUCTION_START row. · Source
  3. Not yet reached · Carried forward verbatim from this miner's own constructionMilestone:CONSTRUCTION_START MetricStatus note (Task #700, status VERIFIED): "LEGITIMATE DIVERGENCE -- FIRST CHECK EVER FOR THIS MILESTONE (XTR was the only one of the ten flagged miners with no MetricStatus row of any kind for CONSTRUCTION_START; the other nine already carried honest Task #430 checked-gaps). The ruling is a direct extension of Task #672's, which reached the same conclusion for this miner's CONSTRUCTION_DECISION: Xtract acquired a 35% JOINT-VENTURE INTEREST in the Silverking copper-silver project (Mumbwa, Zambia) in February 2026 for US$1.5M, and the 3 February 2026 RNS records that the ~500 tpd flotation plant and tailings facility were ALREADY BUILT by the operator's agent before Xtract acquired in. Xtract is not the operator -- Oval Mining Limited is, and holds the small-scale mining licence (SML 34544-HQ-SML) named in this miner's own PERMIT_GRANTED and FIRST_PRODUCTION rows. Xtract therefore has no construction start at Silverking and cannot acquire one. Manica (Mozambique) was tested as an alternative anchor and REJECTED on the same ground: both its production phases were contractor-operated (alluvial from 2017-10-11 under Omnia Mining, hard rock from May 2019 under MMP), per this miner's own COMMERCIAL_PRODUCTION note. Amghas (Morocco, Xtract 80% of Wildstone SARL) was also tested and rejected: Xtract is relocating processing plant infrastructure there, which is genuine company-performed work, but Amghas is not yet in production and anchoring a PRODUCTION-stage gate to a pre-production asset would be circular. stage=PRODUCTION is correct and is not in doubt." Task #807: written as a real disputed=true/disputedKind=CONFIRMED_NON_OCCURRENCE row now that Task #792/#793 built the generic exemption mechanism (hasConfirmedPermanentDivergence() in src/lib/lifecycle-gates.ts) -- this finding previously existed only as MetricStatus prose. sourceUrl is the 3 February 2026 RNS 'Silverking Mining Licence Joint Venture' (investegate), the primary source for the already-built plant/tailings-facility fact, per scripts/correct-stage-xtr-task121.ts's own JV_RNS_URL citation for the identical underlying claim. · Source
  4. Jul 2026 · Task #121. Silverking copper-silver project, Mumbwa, Zambia -- Xtract 35% JV, operator Oval Mining Limited (SML 34544-HQ-SML). RNS 9 July 2026 'Commencement of Production at Silverking': initial production of mixed oxide-sulphide ore through a flotation plant, targeting an optimised 28 tonnes per hour. COMMERCIAL_PRODUCTION deliberately NOT recorded -- the same RNS states 'production at Silverking has only just commenced, and accordingly, until optimisation including further reagent trials have been completed, there can be no assurance of what the steady state production will be in terms of throughput rate per hour, or production of concentrate tonnage and grade', and no mineral revenue has yet been reported. · Source
  5. Reached — date not disclosed · Genuinely reached, but a genuine phased, contractor-operated production history prevents a single clean date: an alluvial production phase at the Manica Gold Project (Mozambique), run by contractor Omnia Mining, commenced processing 2017-10-11, followed by a separate hard-rock production phase from May 2019 under a different appointed contractor (MMP) -- no source found frames either phase, or the transition between them, with formal 'commercial production declared' language or a single company-wide date. Left null with both phases noted. This row was missing entirely prior to 2026-08-21 -- a genuine data gap, not a stage error; Miner.stage was already correctly PRODUCTION. · Source

Milestones are recorded only from a company's own dated disclosure. A milestone with no date shown is one we can confirm was reached but for which no date was disclosed — we don't estimate one. "Not yet reached" means exactly that, not that a date is missing. An "Expected" line likewise only ever reflects the company's own guidance (e.g. a study or permit decision targeted for a stated quarter) — most not-yet-reached milestones have none, and that absence means no such guidance has been disclosed, not that one is overdue.

Open pit (Bushranger, contemplated) plus a small-scale operating mine at Silverking, Zambia feeding a flotation plant (35% JV, operator Oval Mining; mining method not specified in company disclosure). Bushranger's open-pit framing rests on pit-optimisation and conceptual open-pit mining studies, which excluded capital costs and are not economic studies. A gravity plant is being installed at the Amghas antimony project, Morocco.

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal the underlying research identifies — whether a major already holds a JV, earn-in, or 5–19.9% strategic stake — isn't tracked yet and is absent from this score.

Insiders, Investors & Smart Money

Notable shareholders and insiders whose involvement is worth knowing about, plus what we're seeing from institutional/large-investor activity.

Smart money
1/10

A headline institutional-ownership figure of roughly 71% turns out, on inspection, to be entirely retail brokerage and share-dealing platform nominee accounts -- Hargreaves Lansdown, Interactive Investor, Halifax Share Dealing and similar -- rather than any fund manager's decision. That is index/custody plumbing, not smart money. No genuine specialist fund or confirmed recent director purchase was found.

Technical Report Takeaways

STAGE-BEARING ASSET IS SILVERKING, NOT BUSHRANGER. Xtract commenced initial copper production at the Silverking copper-silver project (Mumbwa, Zambia) on 9 July 2026 -- mixed oxide-sulphide ore through a flotation plant, targeting an optimised 28 tonnes per hour. Xtract holds 35% (acquired for US$1.5m); Oval Mining Limited holds Small-Scale Mining Licence 34544-HQ-SML and is operator; Cooperlemon Consultancy Limited is the third JV party. First production is evidenced; commercial/steady-state production is NOT -- the RNS states verbatim that 'there can be no assurance of what the steady state production will be in terms of throughput rate per hour, or production of concentrate tonnage and grade', and no mineral revenue has yet been reported (the FY2025 income statement carries no revenue line, and the auditors described the Group as still at the exploration stage at that year end, six months before production began). Silverking has NO JORC-compliant resource -- only an in-house, non-compliant estimate. BUSHRANGER (NSW, Australia, 100%) is the company's only code-compliant resource but is NOT the stage-bearing asset and is currently dormant (zero RNS in 2025-2026). JORC (2012) Mineral Resource Estimate, EFFECTIVE DATE 31 October 2022 (not the 23 Nov 2022 announcement date), by The Measured Group: Racecourse 512,100 kt @ 0.22% CuEq at a 0.1% CuEq cut-off, comprising Indicated 50,150 kt @ 0.25% CuEq and Inferred 461,950 kt @ 0.21% CuEq, announced 23 Nov 2022; plus a MAIDEN Ascot resource of 87Mt @ 0.22% CuEq at a 0.1% CuEq cut-off, 100% Inferred, announced 19 Dec 2022. Combined 599Mt @ 0.22% CuEq, of which only 50.15Mt (8.4%) is Indicated. The 191Mt @ 0.33% CuEq figure is the SAME Racecourse resource re-reported off the grade-tonnage curve at a 0.2% CuEq cut-off -- a subset, not additive. Cut-off basis verbatim: 'A cut-off grade of 0.1% CuEq has been used applying a copper price of US$8,800/t, a gold price of US$1,800/Oz and a silver price of US$24/Oz'; CuEq % = (Cu%) + (Au g/t * 0.6577) + (Ag g/t * 0.008769). NO scoping study, PEA, PFS or feasibility study has ever been published on Bushranger and there is no ore reserve -- the 2023 pit-optimisation work modelled 'Sixteen economic pit shells ... from an operating cost perspective only with capital cost requirements excluded', which disqualifies it as an economic study. An AU$363m NPV figure circulating in aggregator coverage is unconfirmed against any RNS and is opex-only; deliberately not recorded. PORTFOLIO (audited FY2025 AR and 2026 RNS -- the company WEBSITE IS STALE and must not be used for current facts: it still shows Wildstone at 50%, omits the Manica disposal, and retains dead Kalengwa/Eureka pages): Silverking 35% producing; Amghas/Ighoud antimony, Morocco, via 80% of Wildstone SARL (raised from 50%), mining licence granted, plant infrastructure being relocated from Casablanca; Bushranger 100%; Western Foreland and Chilibwe relinquished and impaired; Manica disposed 24 Jan 2024 (23% interest, US$3.325m initial plus US$15m staged to 1 Dec 2028, reverting if payments are missed) with no gold revenue to Xtract. No Chilean project (Minera Polar Limitada is 'Not Trading'). (Task #121: the prior STAGE FLAG on this field is resolved -- stage corrected GRASSROOTS -> PRODUCTION, anchored to Silverking under playbook 7.4, NOT to Bushranger as the flag assumed. The batch 6 cut-off asOfDate of 2022-11-23 was the announcement date and has been corrected to the 2022-10-31 effective date.) [Stage review, 2026-08-19]: Two AISC-backfill agents this session re-flagged stage=PRODUCTION over the Manica (Mozambique) asset divestment, as though it might mean XTR has no active producing asset. That divestment is not news -- it is ALREADY DOCUMENTED ABOVE, in the Task #121 correction itself (2026-08-15, 4 days before this flag): Xtract "disposed of its 23% interest in the Manica Gold project in Mozambique on 24 January 2024... and earns no gold revenue from it." Manica was NEVER the basis for this row's PRODUCTION tag -- the tag has been anchored to the Silverking copper-silver JV (Zambia) since Task #121, and remains so. Fresh, independent re-verification this pass (WebSearch, 2026-08-19) finds no news of Silverking production halting or reversing, and nothing making Manica newly relevant: the most recent XTR RNS activity is entirely about the separate Amghas antimony project (Morocco) -- "Amghas Antimony Mine Update" (13 Aug 2026, https://www.tradingview.com/news/reuters.com,2026-08-13:newsml_RSM6112Qa:0-reg-xtract-resources-plc-amghas-antimony-mine-update/), positive Phase 2 metallurgical test work "supporting the Company's strategy to advance Amghas towards commercial production" -- and the 2026 AGM (14 Aug 2026, https://www.investegate.co.uk/announcement/rns/xtract-resources--xtr/result-of-agm/9723338) passed all resolutions with nothing flagged. VERDICT: stage=PRODUCTION remains CORRECT, anchored to Silverking. Not changed. Flag closed to prevent a third re-flagging of an already-resolved concern (the exact "flagged, never acted on" gap this script's CAMB section closes for a different ticker). Full reasoning in scripts/fix-stage-review-camb-bh6-exn-xtr-mkr.ts.
