US Copper Corp (TSXV: USCU) controls approximately 13 square miles (7,053 acres) of patented and unpatented federal mining claims in the Lights Creek Copper District, Plumas County, northeastern California -- essentially the entire historic mining district, roughly 85 miles northwest of Reno, Nevada. The flagship Moonlight-Superior project comprises three deposits (Moonlight, Superior, Engels) containing both copper sulphide and copper oxide mineralization. On 6 January 2025 the company announced a Preliminary Economic Assessment: post-tax NPV(7%) of US$1.075 billion, post-tax IRR of 23%, initial capital of US$956 million, a 5.3-year payback, and a 14-year mine life via conventional open-pit mining with dual processing (a flotation circuit for sulphide ore, a heap-leach circuit for oxide/transition ore) -- projected life-of-mine production of approximately 1.8 billion pounds of copper plus 12,000,000 oz silver and 63,000 oz gold as flotation byproducts, at an all-in sustaining cost of US$2.51/lb Cu on a US$4.15/lb Cu base-case price. As of this pass (Aug 2026), the company's own CEO commentary describes a Pre-Feasibility Study as being prepared for fall 2026, alongside the start of permitting -- no PFS has been filed yet. The company also holds the earlier-stage Black Warrior (Esmeralda County, Nevada), Timore and Warren Whiteside (Ontario) properties, none with an economic study and none driving company stage.

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal the underlying research identifies — whether a major already holds a JV, earn-in, or 5–19.9% strategic stake — isn't tracked yet and is absent from this score.

Technical Report Takeaways

STAGE: PEA, per the 6 Jan 2025 Moonlight-Superior PEA -- post-tax NPV(7%) US$1.075B, IRR 23%, mine life 14 years, base-case price US$4.15/lb Cu, all cited below. No PFS has been filed as of this pass; the CEO's own Aug 2026 commentary describes a PFS as still being prepared for fall 2026, so FEASIBILITY/PFS is not yet supported. ouncesFound left null per Task #324's still-open copper-unit policy question, same convention as this backlog's other copper miners -- the PEA's LOM production figures (1.8B lbs Cu, 12M oz Ag, 63k oz Au) are forward-looking production forecasts from an economic study, not a Measured+Indicated resource/reserve ounce count, so they would not belong in ouncesFound even if the field were in active use for copper.
