Storm Exploration Inc. (TSXV: STRM; formerly Lithoquest Resources Inc., renamed November 2022), based in Vancouver, is 100%-owner of three district-scale gold projects in Northwest Ontario -- Keezhik, Gold Standard and Attwood -- covering more than 46,000 hectares of prospective geology. Following the CAD $5.8M sale of its Miminiska project, the company holds a lean capital structure (~21 million shares) and a strengthened balance sheet. At Gold Standard (~60km north of Fort Frances), airborne (VTEM) and ground (VLF-EM) surveys confirmed a 5km-long VMS target, with a shear zone 4km south hosting historic high-grade grab samples up to 166 g/t gold, 197 g/t silver and 2.59% copper -- historic, non-NI-43-101-compliant figures, not a current resource. The company closed an oversubscribed CAD $2.95M private placement in July 2026 to fund drilling, expected to begin August 2026. No resource estimate has been published.

Acquisition Susceptibility

How this is calculated
4.6/10
Unlikely bolt-onFits the takeout profile

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal in the research, a producer that already owns part of the company, is scored from its disclosed strategic shareholders. A producer that is a joint-venture or earn-in partner on the project, rather than a shareholder, isn't captured yet.

How this score is built

  • Disclosed pending deal
    Sub-score: Not scored

No pending acquisition or merger disclosed (checked)

Not scored: having no deal in flight isn't held against a company.

    Weight 26.25%
  • Producer's strategic stake
    Sub-score: Not scored

No producer holds a disclosed stake on file (holder register researched) See holders

Not scored: most juniors that do get bought had no prior toehold, so a missing stake says little either way.

  • Distance to a producing mine
    Sub-score: Not yet researched

Distance not yet researched: no project coordinates on file

Distance can't be measured without coordinates, so excluded rather than counted as far.

Technical Report Takeaways

Storm Exploration, formerly Lithoquest Resources, owns 100% of three gold projects in north-western Ontario, Keezhik, Gold Standard and Attwood, covering more than 46,000 hectares, and sold its Miminiska project for C$5.8M. At Gold Standard, about 60km north of Fort Frances, surveys outlined a 5km-long volcanogenic massive sulphide conductor, and after receiving a drill permit in August 2026 the company began an initial program of about 1,500m in 10 holes on 16 September 2026. A nearby shear zone has returned historic grab samples of up to 166 g/t gold, which are not a resource estimate. It closed an oversubscribed C$2.95M private placement in July 2026, and no resource has been published on any of its projects.
