SSR Mining Inc. (formerly Silver Standard Resources Inc., renamed in 2017 following its merger with Claude Resources Inc.) is a Vancouver-headquartered, Americas-focused precious metals producer. Its operating assets are Marigold (Nevada, USA -- the largest revenue contributor, having produced over 5 million cumulative ounces across 35+ years of operation), Seabee (Saskatchewan, Canada) and CC&V (Cripple Creek & Victor, Colorado, USA). SSR Mining completed the sale of its 80% stake in the Çöpler mine (Türkiye) to Cengiz Holding A.S. and affiliates on 24 Jun 2026 for approximately US$1.49 billion cash (net of working-capital adjustments against the original US$1.5B headline figure), following a Feb 2024 heap-leach pad landslide there that killed 9 workers and suspended all Çöpler operations; SSR Mining now holds no equity interest in Çöpler and is no longer party to any Çöpler mining activity. The divestiture proceeds are the primary driver of the company's current ~$1.8B, debt-free cash position. Rodney P. Antal has served as Executive Chairman since Jun 2023 (previously President and CEO) and functions as the company's top executive; Michael J. Sparks is CFO. Q2 2026 group AISC was $2,622/oz, above full-year guidance, which management attributed to the timing of capital spending; Executive Chairman Rod Antal characterized the quarter as a "transformational inflection point" marking the completion of the company's strategic pivot to a pure Americas producer.

Milestones are recorded only from a company's own dated disclosure. A milestone with no date shown is one we can confirm was reached but for which no date was disclosed — we don't estimate one. "Not yet reached" means exactly that, not that a date is missing. An "Expected" line likewise only ever reflects the company's own guidance (e.g. a study or permit decision targeted for a stated quarter) — most not-yet-reached milestones have none, and that absence means no such guidance has been disclosed, not that one is overdue.

Acquisition Susceptibility

How this is calculated
7.5/10
Unlikely bolt-onFits the takeout profile

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal in the research, a producer that already owns part of the company, is scored from its disclosed strategic shareholders. A producer that is a joint-venture or earn-in partner on the project, rather than a shareholder, isn't captured yet.

How this score is built
