StrikePoint Gold Inc.S
StrikePoint Gold Inc. (TSXV: SKP) is a gold explorer whose flagship, since 6 October 2026, is the 100%-owned Northumberland gold project in Nevada's Walker Lane, bought from Newmont; it also holds properties in British Columbia's Golden Triangle and in Nevada. Porter Idaho (BC Golden Triangle, high-grade silver, historic Silverado/Prosperity-Porter Idaho mines) carries a 2008 estimate (Indicated ~11 Moz Ag-equiv, Inferred ~1.7 Moz Ag-equiv) that StrikePoint treats as a historical estimate under NI 43-101, saying it has 'not yet determined what work needs to be completed in order to upgrade or verify' it; it is not a current mineral resource. Willoughby (BC Golden Triangle, gold-silver) is under active discovery-focused drilling with no resource yet. Hercules (Nevada) has an NI 43-101 Exploration Target but no mineral resource; its technical report was updated in July 2026 with the 2026 drill results, the last of which were reported on 21 July 2026. StrikePoint completed the purchase of Northumberland from subsidiaries of Newmont Corporation on 6 October 2026, paying US$70M upfront, with two further US$25M payments due after a feasibility study and after commercial production; it was funded by a C$190M subscription-receipt financing that closed on 9 September 2026. Northumberland is a past-producing deposit, largely on private land, with an initial NI 43-101 resource (effective 31 July 2026) of 67.0 Mt at 1.26 g/t gold (2.71 Moz) Indicated and 31.0 Mt at 1.53 g/t gold (1.52 Moz) Inferred, plus silver. Trading in StrikePoint's shares has been halted since 18 August 2026, when the purchase was announced; after a 10-for-1 share consolidation effective 2 October 2026 and the closing, the company expects trading to resume on or about 8 October 2026.

Acquisition Susceptibility
A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal in the research, a producer that already owns part of the company, is scored from its disclosed strategic shareholders. A producer that is a joint-venture or earn-in partner on the project, rather than a shareholder, isn't captured yet.
How this score is built
- Disclosed pending dealSub-score: Not scored
A disclosed corporate action (not an acquisition or merger)
A corporate action of this kind says nothing about takeover susceptibility, so it isn't scored.
Weight 26.25% - Producer's strategic stakeSub-score: Not scored
No producer holds a disclosed stake on file (holder register researched) See holders
Not scored: most juniors that do get bought had no prior toehold, so a missing stake says little either way.
