Rapid Critical Metals Limited (ASX: RCM) is a Sydney-based explorer that describes itself, on the cover of its own July 2026 Investor Presentation, as an "Australian high-grade silver explorer with strategic critical-metals optionality -- silver + germanium & gallium, two drill-ready assets in 2026". Its flagship is a New South Wales silver portfolio in the New England Fold Belt, held through eleven granted licences and one pending application: the Webbs Silver Project (2022 JORC MRE, 2.2Mt @ 205 g/t AgEq for 14.2Moz AgEq), the Conrad Silver Project (2021 JORC MRE, 3.33Mt @ 193 g/t AgEq for 20.72Moz AgEq, historically the largest silver producer in the NSW section of the belt) and the Webbs Consol Silver Project (1.57Mt @ 636 g/t AgEq for 32.1Moz AgEq), acquired from Lode Resources and completed 28 November 2025. The company presents these as a combined base of roughly 67Moz AgEq with a stated growth pathway toward ~100Moz AgEq along strike, at depth and along parallel lodes. An 80% controlling interest in the Tooloom Silver Project (EL 9681, 121km2, >80 historic workings) was announced in April 2026. The second leg is the Prophet River gallium-germanium project in British Columbia, Canada (100%, ten mineral claims over 2,110ha covering the historic Cay Mine), which received its BC Mines Act permit in June 2026 ahead of a maiden 2,000-3,000m drill programme. It has been divested, and the confirming document is RCM's own Quarterly Activities Report for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, whose tenement tables are mandatory disclosure under ASX Listing Rule 5.3.3: Gabon -- "The Company has no ongoing operations in Gabon"; Zimbabwe -- "During the Quarter, the Company relinquished its 50% interest in the joint venture agreement for the Zimbabwean project", already fully impaired in the FY2025 accounts; and the last US holding, Old Mike Mica, had its lease terminated on 1 July 2026. No nickel tenement appears on any schedule in any country. The company's earlier identities explain why stale third-party profiles still describe it as a Gabon nickel explorer: Armada Metals Limited (ASX: AMM) became Rapid Lithium Limited (ASX: RLL) on 5 November 2024 and Rapid Critical Metals Limited (ASX: RCM) on 28 May 2025.

New South Wales: Fraser PPI 2025 is 73.26 of 100 (rank 37 of 68), which maps to 9 on this site's scale. The Webbs and Conrad silver projects are in the New England Fold Belt of New South Wales, a top-tier mining jurisdiction; drilling approval at Webbs was received in the June 2026 quarter, and no permitting dispute affects the company. Its secondary Prophet River project is in British Columbia, likewise top-tier.

  • Infrastructure (40%)No verified figure

Researched with nothing found: no source we could cite confirms or rules out an existing mill, road access, grid power, or tailings facility at Webbs and Conrad Silver Projects (incl. Webbs Consol), New England Fold Belt, New South Wales, Australia (checked Sep 26, 2026; recheck due Mar 25, 2027). Counts at a neutral 5/10 until one does.

  • Nearby producing mine (20%)Not yet researched

No producing mine within 50 km in our reference list (nearest listed: Mount Rawdon (Evolution Mining Limited), 454 km). That list doesn't cover every mining district yet, so a longer distance isn't scored as remote.

Acquisition Susceptibility

How this is calculated
2.8/10
Unlikely bolt-onFits the takeout profile

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal in the research, a producer that already owns part of the company, is scored from its disclosed strategic shareholders. A producer that is a joint-venture or earn-in partner on the project, rather than a shareholder, isn't captured yet.

Technical Report Takeaways

Rapid Critical Metals is a silver explorer in the New England Fold Belt of New South Wales, with gallium-germanium exposure in Canada. Its silver projects are Webbs, with a 2022 JORC resource of 2.2 Mt at 205 g/t silver equivalent for 14.2 Moz silver equivalent, Conrad, with a 2021 resource of 3.33 Mt at 193 g/t for 20.72 Moz silver equivalent, and Webbs Consol, acquired from Lode Resources on 28 November 2025, at 1.57 Mt at 636 g/t for 32.1 Moz silver equivalent; the three estimates use different bases, and the company plans a combined resource statement prepared on similar assumptions. In April 2026 it announced an 80% interest in the Tooloom silver project, and its 100%-owned Prophet River gallium-germanium project in British Columbia, covering the historic Cay mine, received its Mines Act permit in June 2026 ahead of a maiden 2,000-3,000m drill program. The company, formerly Armada Metals and then Rapid Lithium, no longer holds nickel ground in Gabon or Zimbabwe.
