Qmines Limited 100%-owns the Mt Chalmers copper-gold project, 17km north-east of Rockhampton in Queensland. The project carries a JORC Mineral Resource of 11.86 million tonnes at 1.22% copper equivalent (84% classified Measured and Indicated), with an Ore Reserve of 9.6 million tonnes (Proved + Probable). A Pre-Feasibility Study completed 30 April 2024 outlined a stand-alone one-million-tonne-per-annum operation with a pre-tax NPV8 of A$373 million, a 54% internal rate of return, approximately A$191 million in initial capital cost, a payback under two years and a 10.4-year mine life, recovering an estimated 65,000 tonnes of copper, 160,000 ounces of gold, 1.8 million ounces of silver and 30,600 tonnes of zinc. A Definitive Feasibility Study commenced in February 2026, fully funded following a $15 million strategic package from the Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC) in April 2026 (structured as $5 million equity plus $10 million via a 2% net smelter return royalty over the project), and is targeting completion in 2027. Concurrently, a 10,000-metre drill program aimed at expanding the resource began in mid-2026, with initial results in July 2026 including 18 metres at 2.7g/t gold and 1.7% copper from 54 metres (including a higher-grade 12-metre section at 3.8g/t gold and 2.0% copper).

Lifecycle Milestones
A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal the underlying research identifies — whether a major already holds a JV, earn-in, or 5–19.9% strategic stake — isn't tracked yet and is absent from this score.

stage=PFS, not FEASIBILITY: the completed, costed economic study is the Apr 2024 PFS -- the DFS commenced Feb 2026 is still in progress (targeting 2027 completion), so the most-advanced COMPLETED study sets the stage, a deliberate check rather than a default. dcfNpvUsd/initialCapexUsd/mineLifeYears below are all this Apr 2024 PFS's figures. mineLifeYears resolved as 10.4yr (qmines.com.au's own project page) over a conflicting secondary-aggregator headline ('12.3Mt over 12 years') -- primary company source preferred, not averaged. ouncesFound deliberately NOT written: COPPER has no calibrated deposit-size curve in src/lib/scoring.ts DEPOSIT_SIZE_CURVES, and writing the smaller by-product gold figure (160,000oz) in its place would misrepresent this copper-primary deposit's size -- see A1M's identical note. cashPositionUsd sourced from a single aggregator figure (~17 Jul 2026, not corroborated against QML's own Jun 2026 Appendix 5B this pass) -- written but not markVerified.
