Orbit Resources Limited (ASX: OBT) -- formerly Godolphin Resources Limited, renamed effective 17 Aug 2026 with the ASX ticker transitioning from GRL to OBT on 19 Aug 2026 -- is a New South Wales-focused explorer/developer whose centrepiece asset is Lewis Ponds, a polymetallic gold-silver-zinc-lead-copper deposit 15km east of Orange. A Dec 2025 Mineral Resource Estimate update lifted the global resource inventory 78% to 17.52 million tonnes (9.09Mt Indicated, 8.43Mt Inferred) at 1.12 g/t Au, 53.34 g/t Ag, 2.06% Zn, 1.10% Pb and 0.14% Cu -- 630,000oz contained gold and 30.1 million oz contained silver. A Scoping Study (the JORC-code equivalent of a North American PEA) announced 16 Feb 2026 outlined a 12-year, low-capex, open-pit-then-underground operation processing 1.25Mtpa: base-case pre-tax NPV(7.5%) of AUD$481 million, 24% pre-tax IRR, AUD$1.1 billion pre-tax free cash flow, AUD$268 million pre-production capital, and an AISC of AUD$3,254 per gold-equivalent ounce, all built on a US$3,700/oz gold and US$55/oz silver price forecast (an upside case at higher assumed prices reaches AUD$1,088 million NPV and 40% IRR). The Board has since approved progressing the project to Pre-Feasibility Study, and metallurgical work (gravity pre-flotation ahead of talc rejection) has since lifted gold recovery by a further 21 percentage points, a real post-Scoping-Study improvement not yet reflected in the headline economics above. The company is separately spinning out its Narraburra Rare Earths Project into a standalone ASX-listed vehicle, Matrix Critical Minerals (valued at A$12.5m in that IPO) -- a real, in-progress corporate action that, once complete, will leave Orbit as a focused precious/base-metals developer with Lewis Ponds as its sole material asset; not yet fully closed as of this pass.

Acquisition Susceptibility
7.5/10
Unlikely bolt-onFits the takeout profile

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal the underlying research identifies — whether a major already holds a JV, earn-in, or 5–19.9% strategic stake — isn't tracked yet and is absent from this score.

Risk/Reward Asymmetry
0.03x P/NAV· 8th percentile of 39 stage+commodity peers· Unexplained

P/NAV of 0.03x sits in the 8th percentile among 39 pea-stage gold peers, despite a jurisdiction score of 9/10 -- high enough that jurisdiction risk alone doesn't obviously explain the discount. Flagged as genuinely unexplained by this mechanical screen: either a real mispricing, or a real risk this screen can't see (a jurisdiction issue this score doesn't capture, or some other factor entirely) -- a distinct, more speculative bucket with no identified resolution catalyst, not the jurisdiction-risk pattern above. See this company's own profile page for any completed, cited research (Task #530) into that real "why," where one exists yet.

No researched, cited finding on file yet for what specifically makes this company cheap vs. its peers. Flagged by the mechanical screen above; a real research pass hasn't reached this company yet.

A relative screen, not a probability and not a reason to buy. This flags companies trading unusually cheap vs. peers of the same lifecycle stage and commodity, for a real, identifiable reason (a jurisdiction risk, a specific dispute, an incident, a financing gap) that may or may not ever resolve favorably. "Unexplained" candidates carry no identified driver at all -- a more speculative bucket than a named catalyst.

Technical Report Takeaways

STAGE: PEA -- the 16 Feb 2026 Scoping Study is the JORC-code equivalent of a North American PEA (a completed, non-binding, early-stage economic study; this DB's Stage enum has no separate SCOPING slot). NOT advanced to PFS -- the company's own Board has only approved PROGRESSING TO PFS as a next step, meaning that work has not itself been completed. MIXED-CURRENCY STUDY: the Scoping Study's own headline NPV/IRR/FCF/capex figures are reported in AUD (the company's reporting currency) while its own gold/silver price assumption is stated in USD (US$3,700/oz Au, US$55/oz Ag) -- both recorded here in their own native currency/field rather than force-converted, since the source document itself does not convert them. RARE EARTHS SPIN-OUT IN PROGRESS: Narraburra is being spun into a separately-listed Matrix Critical Minerals vehicle -- not yet fully closed as of this pass, so Narraburra's ~A$12.5m IPO valuation is NOT included in this Miner's own marketCapUsd (which reflects Orbit's own current, pre-spin-out market price), avoiding a double-count once Matrix shares are actually distributed to Orbit shareholders. ouncesFound is populated with GOLD ounces only (630,000oz) -- the resource's substantial silver content (30.1Moz) and base-metal credits (Zn/Pb/Cu) are described in full in this Miner's own description and via a SILVER MinerCommodity secondary-commodity row, but not folded into this single-commodity field.
