Nickel North Exploration Corp. (TSXV: NNX) owns 100% of the Hawk Ridge copper-nickel-cobalt-PGE sulphide project, a 50 km belt of magmatic sulphide occurrences covering about 180 km2 in Nunavik, northern Quebec, near tidewater. P&E Mining Consultants' NI 43-101 estimate for Hawk Ridge, effective 31 May 2022, reports Inferred resources in four deposits (Hopes Advance Main and North, Falco 7 and Gamma) totalling 34.7 Mt at 0.56% copper, 0.22% nickel, 0.01% cobalt, 0.19 g/t palladium, 0.05 g/t platinum and 0.03 g/t gold, about 431.6 million lb of copper and 168.9 million lb of nickel, at C$35/t (pit-constrained) and C$100/t (out-of-pit) NSR cut-offs. At the estimate's own metal prices copper is the largest metal by value, with nickel close behind. An option the company had granted 1844 Resources to acquire the project was terminated in September 2025. The 2026 summer program, begun in early July, includes soil and rock sampling between the Falco 7, Hopes Advance North and Gamma zones, a geophysical survey and re-sampling of historical core for metallurgical study.

Acquisition Susceptibility

How this is calculated
3.1/10
Unlikely bolt-onFits the takeout profile

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal in the research, a producer that already owns part of the company, is scored from its disclosed strategic shareholders. A producer that is a joint-venture or earn-in partner on the project, rather than a shareholder, isn't captured yet.

How this score is built

  • Disclosed pending deal

Not scored: most juniors that do get bought had no prior toehold, so a missing stake says little either way.
