Milestones are recorded only from a company's own dated disclosure. A milestone with no date shown is one we can confirm was reached but for which no date was disclosed — we don't estimate one. "Not yet reached" means exactly that, not that a date is missing. An "Expected" line likewise only ever reflects the company's own guidance (e.g. a study or permit decision targeted for a stated quarter) — most not-yet-reached milestones have none, and that absence means no such guidance has been disclosed, not that one is overdue.

Acquisition Susceptibility

How this is calculated
4.2/10
Unlikely bolt-onFits the takeout profile

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal in the research, a producer that already owns part of the company, is scored from its disclosed strategic shareholders. A producer that is a joint-venture or earn-in partner on the project, rather than a shareholder, isn't captured yet.

How this score is built

  • Disclosed pending deal

No pending acquisition or merger disclosed (checked)

Not scored: having no deal in flight isn't held against a company.

Not an operating producer, so it isn't the toehold-then-takeout pattern the research documents; a missing producer stake isn't held against a company.

Technical Report Takeaways

New Found Gold is developing the 100%-owned Queensway gold project near Gander, Newfoundland, and became a producer through its November 2025 combination with Maritime Resources, which brought the Hammerdown gold mine and the Pine Cove mill in the Baie Verte district. Hammerdown, a historic mine restarted after Pine Cove's care-and-maintenance period, declared commercial production on 16 September 2026, effective 19 August 2026; it produced 9,140 oz in the first eight months of 2026 and is expected to run at 20,000-25,000 oz a year. Queensway holds 1,390,000 oz of indicated gold at 2.40 g/t, with no measured category, plus 610,000 oz inferred. Its 2025 preliminary economic assessment for the AFZ Core shows an after-tax NPV5% of US$520M (CAD 743M) and a 56.3% IRR at US$2,500/oz gold over a 15-year mine life producing about 1.5 Moz. A large multi-rig drill programme in 2026 aims to grow and upgrade the Queensway resource.
