Midas Minerals Limited
Midas Minerals Limited (formerly Cowan Lithium Ltd, renamed Mar 2021) transformed its portfolio in Dec 2025 by acquiring the Otavi Copper-Silver-Gold Project in Namibia's Otavi Fold Belt (ten Exclusive Prospecting Licences, ~1,776km2, plus an option over the adjacent ~194km2 South Otavi ground) from Nexa Resources, via its wholly-owned subsidiary Midnab Resources (Pty) Ltd -- licence transfer completed Aug 2025, Namibian Competition Commission clearance obtained Oct 2025, deal formally closed 22 Dec 2025. The company now describes itself as 'a junior mineral exploration company with a primary focus on copper and precious metals,' and Otavi is its flagship: an initial JORC Inferred Mineral Resource at the T-13 deposit (announced Apr 2026) totals 10.5Mt @ 1.6% Cu and 21g/t Ag (~169,000t contained Cu, ~7.1Moz contained Ag, ~2.0% CuEq for ~211,000t CuEq), starting at surface, open along a 1.4km trend, and including a high-grade zone averaging >3% CuEq; historic intercepts include 17.2m @ 7.24% Cu / 144.4g/t Ag and 6m @ 16.65% Cu / 370.3g/t Ag. Two diamond rigs plus an RC rig are drilling T-13 and the still resource-undefined Deblin Cu-Au-Ag deposit, funded by an A$28M Apr 2026 placement. Alongside Otavi, Midas holds the Challa Gold-Nickel-Copper-PGE project in Western Australia and the Reid-Aylmer and Greenbush lithium pegmatite projects in Canada's Northwest Territories (Reid-Aylmer's Argus pegmatite: rock chips up to 7.25% Li2O, a 26m channel averaging 1.27% Li2O incl. 12m @ 1.75% Li2O; Greenbush: grab samples to 3.8% Li2O); neither lithium project carries a JORC/NI 43-101 resource. The company's original WA lithium assets (Cowan/Yallari) and its Mofe Creek iron-ore project in Namibia -- both listed as current holdings in this database's prior description -- no longer appear anywhere on the company's current website or project list as of Aug 2026. A distinct WA gold-lithium project (Newington) was confirmed SOLD to Forrestania Resources for ~A$1.5M in scrip (completed 21 Jul 2026), but no explicit divestment/sale announcement for Cowan/Yallari or Mofe Creek specifically was located this pass -- their current disposition (formally divested vs. simply deprioritized/unpromoted) is genuinely unconfirmed and flagged for a follow-up check, not asserted either way.

Lifecycle Milestones
A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal the underlying research identifies — whether a major already holds a JV, earn-in, or 5–19.9% strategic stake — isn't tracked yet and is absent from this score.

Reports, Presentations & Documents
[Task #871] ouncesFound deliberately left null: Otavi's T-13 deposit Inferred Mineral Resource (10.5Mt @ 1.6% Cu, 21g/t Ag) reports ~7.1Moz contained silver as a byproduct figure within a COPPER-primary resource (also expressed as ~211,000t CuEq) -- per the Task #324 operational convention (copper resources reported in tonnes/lbs contained metal, not troy oz; see EXG/HAV/MMG's identical reasoning on this same audit batch), the byproduct silver figure is not written in ouncesFound's place, which would misrepresent this copper-primary deposit's size. Also entirely INFERRED category (no Measured/Indicated) -- fails the separate M&I-only convention (see GG1/WLR precedent) even setting the unit question aside.
