Lac Gold Limited
Lac Gold Limited (formerly Ardiden Limited, renamed effective May 2026) is a West Perth, Australia-based, ASX-listed explorer advancing two Canadian gold projects. The Rouyn Gold Project sits on Quebec's Cadillac Break, a belt that has produced roughly 200 million oz of gold historically, where 2026 diamond drilling has returned high-grade intersections at the Astoria deposit. The 100%-owned Pickle Lake Gold Project in northwestern Ontario hosts a JORC (2012) inferred resource of 110,000 oz gold at 4.3 g/t at the Kasagiminnis deposit, plus historical (non-NI 43-101-compliant) estimates at the Dorothy and Dobie deposits.

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal the underlying research identifies — whether a major already holds a JV, earn-in, or 5–19.9% strategic stake — isn't tracked yet and is absent from this score.

Insiders, Investors & Smart Money
Notable shareholders and insiders whose involvement is worth knowing about, plus what we're seeing from institutional/large-investor activity.
Matthew Keegan and his associated entity Victoria Road Holdings became a substantial holder with 17.68% in December 2025, through a share-sale arrangement that was partly cash and partly non-cash consideration. We could not confirm he is a resource-sector specialist rather than a related party to an earlier transaction, so this is not counted as outside conviction money. Management itself holds a large 61.7% of the company. Lac Gold separately purchased the past-producing Golden Patricia mine from Barrick in 2026, but there is no evidence Barrick took shares as part of that deal.
No notable insiders tracked for this miner yet.
Reports, Presentations & Documents
Lac Gold Limited (ASX:LAC, renamed from Ardiden Limited effective 26 May 2026 following a reverse-takeover merger) holds two separate, geographically distinct projects: the Pickle Lake Gold Project (Ontario) and the Rouyn Gold Project (Quebec). The existing ouncesFound=110,000 belongs to Pickle Lake's Kasagiminnis deposit ONLY (790,000 t @ 4.3 g/t, Inferred, JORC-code, originally announced by Ardiden Ltd in Sept 2019, pre-dating the Lac Gold merger) -- it is not a combined figure and does not include Rouyn, which has no resource estimate attributed to it in sources checked this pass. A secondary source claims a combined post-merger figure of ~1.77 Moz, but this could not be verified against a primary ASX/JORC release this pass (PDF fetch failures) and should NOT be entered until confirmed.
