GoldHenty Gold Mine (Tasmania) & Maldon Gold Project (Victoria, Australia) Map

Kaiser Reef Limited is an ASX-listed gold producer operating the Henty Gold Mine in Tasmania and the historic Maldon Gold Project in Victoria (which includes the fully-permitted Union Hill underground mine and a 200,000tpa processing plant; the Maldon goldfield has historically produced 1.75Moz at 28g/t). Kaiser produced ~6,000oz gold in the June 2026 quarter (~5,563oz Henty, ~437oz Maldon) and guides to 32,000oz for FY27. The company's separate A1 Gold Mine (Victoria) was placed on care and maintenance in 2026 following a strategic review of lower-grade Nova Zone production. FY2025 revenue of A$34.83M (up 47% YoY).

4 of 5 reached
  1. Reached — date not disclosed · Kaiser Reef's own 1 Oct 2020 ASX announcement ("Material Acquisition of High-Grade Victorian Gold Projects and Processing Plant") states the A1 Gold Mine "is fully permitted and currently operating," with historic production of 620,000oz since 1861. The permit (Victorian mining licence MIN 5294) was already in force before Kaiser's involvement, held by predecessor Centennial Mining Limited (formerly A1 Consolidated Gold Limited, ASX:AYC). A search-extracted reference to AYC's 2012 IPO prospectus suggested "MIN 5294 granted for a further 5 years, expiring 17 Aug 2016" (implying ~2011 renewal) but could not be independently verified (PDF extraction failed) -- not treated as confirmed. No reliable original-grant date found. · Source
  2. Not yet reached · Kaiser Reef's Board announced a conditional agreement with Golden River Resources to acquire the A1 Gold Mine, Maldon Goldfield, and Porcupine Flat processing plant from Centennial Mining's administrators, after due diligence conducted 12 Aug-21 Sept 2020, backed by real financing ($16M scrip + $7.5M capital raise for immediate exploration at both Maldon and A1). Since A1 was already a permitted, operating mine (not greenfield), this Board decision to acquire and redevelop/expand is the closest real decision-equivalent commitment predating Kaiser's actual redevelopment work -- which led directly to the Queens Lode discovery (accessed Oct 2021) and this miner's existing FIRST_PRODUCTION row (8 Nov 2021, "First Queens Lode Ore Processed"). Acquisition completed Dec 2020/Jan 2021 per the announcement's own indicative timetable. -- TASK #685 CORRECTION (2026-08-25): row marked disputed=true -- Re-verified against this row's own cited primary source, read directly this pass. The 1 October 2020 release ("Material Acquisition of High-Grade Victorian Gold Projects and Processing Plant"; ASX headline "Material Gold Acquisition", lodged 2020-10-01 12:20 AEDT) states that "The A1 Gold Mine is fully permitted and currently operating", describes the Porcupine Flat plant as "fully permitted and currently operating at reduced capacity under administration", and says Kaiser "will also have immediate gold production from the fully permitted A1 Gold Mine". Kaiser's 28 January 2021 release then confirms "the acquisition of the operating gold mine and processing plant of Centennial Mining Limited". There was therefore never a construction decision: nothing was built, and no board FID to construct exists to be found. This is an acquired-already-built divergence -- the same class as the DSV/XTR rulings under Task #672 and the IPT/Guadalupe call under Task #612 -- not an evidence gap for a future pass to close by hunting harder for a document. Why disputed rather than deleted: the acquisition is a real, correctly-dated, correctly-cited event, and MinerConstructionMilestone.disputed exists precisely to preserve a row's citation and research while stopping hasMilestone() from letting it satisfy a gate it should never have satisfied. Only the milestone LABEL was wrong, not the underlying research. Superseded statement in the original note above: its closing reference to "this miner's existing FIRST_PRODUCTION row (8 Nov 2021, 'First Queens Lode Ore Processed')" no longer holds -- that row was corrected by this same task to 2021-01-28, Kaiser's actual first gold pour. The upstream research file (scratch_check/_task_milestone_research_redlf_ipt_gdp.md) never surfaced the 28 Jan 2021 release, which is why its acquire-then-redevelop-then-produce narrative looked coherent and why the acquisition got promoted to a decision-equivalent. · Source
  3. Apr 2021 · Kaiser Reef's ASX announcement of 2021-04-27, lodged as 'Kaiser Update and Decline Development Commences' (document title 'Kaiser Commences Decline Development and Transitions to Owner Operator'), records the start of Kaiser's own redevelopment of the A1 Gold Mine: 'Kaiser is also pleased to report that the first cut has been made to advance the decline towards the Queens Lode', alongside the transition to owner-operator. Source: https://minedocs.com/21/Kaiser-PR-04272021.pdf. Date and headline confirmed against the ASX's own 2021 announcements index for KAU. Corroborated by Kaiser's FY2021 annual report (lodged 1 Oct 2021): 'Approved and commenced the decline A1 Mine to develop the Queens Lode and opened new development headings', and 'The A1 Mine operation commenced its decline heading to the Queens Lode in the final quarter' (FY2021 Q4 = Apr-Jun 2021). This is Kaiser's OWN construction, distinct from its January 2021 acquisition of the already-built, already-operating A1 Gold Mine/Porcupine Flat plant (see this miner's FIRST_PRODUCTION row, 2021-01-28) -- a genuine two-phase history (acquired-already-operating, then built-its-own-decline) under one ticker, the same shape as SBMI/III/ARIS/SRB. Originally found and verified by Task #700 (2026-08-25), which withdrew the write when a concurrent session re-dated FIRST_PRODUCTION underneath it mid-pass, producing a CONSTRUCTION_START_AFTER_FIRST_PRODUCTION chronology inversion. Task #792 (2026-08-28) proposed the reviewed-exception entry that resolves it; Task #793 added that entry (REVIEWED_INVERSION_EXCEPTIONS["KAU"] in src/lib/milestone-chronology-rules.ts) and wrote this row in the same change. · Source
  4. Jan 2021 · Kaiser Reef's own first gold pour, announced in its ASX release dated 28 January 2021, "Kaiser Reef: Re-commences trading on the ASX and first gold pour" (lodged 2021-01-28 08:26 AEDT). Release text read directly this pass: the Company is "extremely pleased to announce the re-commencement of trading following the successful transition from a gold exploration company into a high-grade gold miner and producer, with the first gold pour stamped KAU001". The bar was poured at the Maldon (Porcupine Flat) processing plant on completion of the Centennial Mining Limited acquisition: "The completed transaction delivers Kaiser a 100% interest in the operating A1 Gold mine, Maldon gold processing plant and Maldon gold exploration project." Kaiser re-listed on the ASX the same day following an oversubscribed $7,500,000 capital raising. ACQUIRED-ALREADY-OPERATING first production, disclosed rather than smoothed over: Kaiser did not build this mine. It bought a fully permitted, currently operating mine and plant and poured its own first gold within days of completion, then planned to "prudently increase production from the existing reduced rate to utilise the processing plants full capacity". That is still a legitimate first-production event for THIS company and it is the earliest one -- the same call Task #612 made for IPT/Guadalupe (a continuation-under-new-ownership mill, recorded as a real first production anyway). CORRECTS a wrong-event mapping (Task #685). This row previously carried achievedDate 2021-11-08 citing "A1 Gold Mine First Queens Lode Ore Processed". That announcement is real and correctly dated, but it records first ore from ONE NEW ORE BODY (the Queens Lode) inside a mine that had already been producing and pouring gold under Kaiser's ownership for over nine months -- not the company's first production. QUEENS LODE FACT PRESERVED (the 5-value ConstructionMilestone enum has no row type for it, so it lives here in prose rather than being lost): "First Queens Lode Ore Processed & Final Exploration Results", 8 November 2021 (lodged 2021-11-08 08:47 AEDT), https://wcsecure.weblink.com.au/clients/kaiserreef/v2/headline.aspx?headlineid=61061421 . The Queens Lode decline was accessed the month before -- "Queens Lode - A1 Gold Mine Milestone and Drilling Results", 7 October 2021. Task #646 and Task #612 both used the 8 Nov 2021 date as a bookend when researching KAU's CONSTRUCTION_START; that reasoning should be revisited now that the Jan 2021 pour is the real first-production anchor. Sourcing: Kaiser Reef's own ASX announcement feed (wcsecure.weblink.com.au/Clients/kaiserreef/v2/, the feed behind kaiserreef.com.au/asx-announcements/); the announcement PDF was downloaded and its text extracted and read directly this pass, not inferred from search snippets. Independently corroborated by Stockhead, "Kaiser Reef is back as the ASX's newest gold producer", 28 January 2021, which confirms both the pour ("Kaiser poured first gold following the acquisition of the operating A1 mine, Maldon processing plant and exploration project in Victoria") and the same-day re-listing. · Source
  5. Reached — date not disclosed · Genuinely reached, but no source found gives a specific day: the A1 Gold Mine (Maldon Goldfield, Victoria) achieved 'commercial production underway' per contemporaneous reporting around February 2022 and operated for several years generating real revenue -- but A1 has very recently (2026) been transitioned to care and maintenance following a strategic review, matching the same-mine/same-owner between-phases pattern (Chatree/Kingsgate precedent, batch5). Union Hill Gold Mine (within the same Maldon Gold Project) remains on care and maintenance itself, with underground redevelopment only recently recommenced (first development cut taken in 2026, first underground development on-site in nearly eight years) -- not yet a separate producing asset, not the basis. Left null with the ~2022 achievement and 2026 care-and-maintenance transition both noted. This row was missing entirely prior to 2026-08-21 -- a genuine data gap, not a stage error; Miner.stage was already correctly PRODUCTION. · Source

Milestones are recorded only from a company's own dated disclosure. A milestone with no date shown is one we can confirm was reached but for which no date was disclosed — we don't estimate one. "Not yet reached" means exactly that, not that a date is missing. An "Expected" line likewise only ever reflects the company's own guidance (e.g. a study or permit decision targeted for a stated quarter) — most not-yet-reached milestones have none, and that absence means no such guidance has been disclosed, not that one is overdue.

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal the underlying research identifies — whether a major already holds a JV, earn-in, or 5–19.9% strategic stake — isn't tracked yet and is absent from this score.

Kaiser Reef's touted "strategic partnership with Catalyst Metals" turns out to be a commercial ore-purchase agreement for processing ore through Catalyst's Henty Gold Mine (announced August 6, 2026), not an investment or shareholding by Catalyst. We found several Change of Director's Interest Notice filings in 2026 but could not confirm whether they represent genuine share purchases or option-related changes.

Technical Report Takeaways

Henty Gold Mine (Tasmania) Ore Reserve of 199,000 oz @ 3.28 g/t Au (up 29% on the prior estimate), per Kaiser Reef's Oct 2025 reserve update (Mineral Resource Estimate separately stated at 438koz @ 3.3 g/t). This figure is Henty ONLY -- Maldon Gold Project (Victoria: A1 underground mine + permitted Union Hill mine)'s own current Measured+Indicated resource or Proven+Probable reserve in ounces was not confirmed to a primary-source standard this pass (only historical production of 1.75 Moz at 28 g/t was found, not a current compliant estimate), despite Maldon also being in active production (~437 oz in Q2 2026 vs. Henty's ~5,563 oz). ouncesFound therefore understates Kaiser Reef's true combined position; flagged for a future pass to add Maldon's current resource once confirmed.
