Goldalso:Pardo Paleoplacer Gold Project (Sudbury Mining District, Ontario, Canada) Map

Inventus Mining Corp. holds two 100%-owned Ontario properties: the 240 km2 Sudbury 2.0 project (explored for gold, platinum, palladium, copper, cobalt and nickel) and the Pardo Paleoplacer Gold Project, both in the Sudbury Mining Division. Pardo bulk-sampling and drilling in 2026 recovered 564oz of gold from a Trench 1 bulk sample and returned high-grade results including 10.5 g/t Au over 0.5m in the Matinenda Layer. Eric Sprott purchased 11.84 million shares in July 2025. No NI 43-101-compliant resource estimate has yet been published; the 564oz bulk-sample recovery is a real, reported production/metallurgical-test figure but not a compliant resource, so it is not recorded in ouncesFound.

Unlikely bolt-onFits the takeout profile

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal the underlying research identifies — whether a major already holds a JV, earn-in, or 5–19.9% strategic stake — isn't tracked yet and is absent from this score.

Smart money
3/10

Two of the best-known names in Canadian mining finance hold major stakes here: Robert McEwen -- founder of Goldcorp and chairman of McEwen Mining -- owns about 16.2% (35.8M shares) personally through his holding company Evanachan Limited, last disclosed Dec 2022, and Eric Sprott, the archetypal resource-sector financier, owns about 15.1% (33.4M shares) through vehicles including 2176423 Ontario Ltd. and The Sprott Foundation, last disclosed Jul 2025 -- both percentages reflect dilution against Inventus's current ~221M shares outstanding, and both holders' underlying share counts have been unchanged since those filings (independently corroborated by MarketScreener's own 2026-07-14 shareholder snapshot). Either position alone would be a strong signal; having both is a real vote of confidence from experienced money.
