Gateway Mining Limited
Gateway Mining Limited is a Western Australian gold explorer focused on the 100%-owned, 1,780 sq km Yandal Gold Project on the eastern flank of the Yandal Greenstone Belt in the northeastern Yilgarn (JORC 2012 MRE of 8.17 Mt at 1.52 g/t Au for 400,400 oz, 100% Inferred, across the Horse Well Gold Camp and Dusk 'til Dawn centres), acquired from Strickland Metals Ltd for A$45 million in shares per the 2 Jul 2025 announcement. The company also holds the Barrelmaker Project (formerly the gold-focused Montague Project's western portion, East Murchison Mineral Field), now explored for copper-nickel-PGE and lithium potential with no disclosed gold resource -- Gateway sold Montague's gold-bearing eastern portion (~507,000-526,000 oz Au JORC resource including the Julias deposit) to Brightstar Resources for A$14 million, completed 1 Oct 2024. The company finished the March 2026 quarter with A$15.7 million in cash plus a further A$5.6 million in liquid ASX-listed securities, sufficient to fund its planned 2026 exploration program without an immediate capital raise. Andrew Bray is Executive Chairman and Richard Pugh is Chief Executive Officer.

Researched with nothing found: no source we could cite confirms or rules out an existing mill, road access, grid power, or tailings facility at Yandal Gold Project, Yandal Greenstone Belt, Western Australia (checked Sep 30, 2026; recheck due Mar 29, 2027). Counts at a neutral 5/10 until one does.

No project coordinates on file yet, so distance to a producing mine can't be measured.
Acquisition Susceptibility
A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal in the research, a producer that already owns part of the company, is scored from its disclosed strategic shareholders. A producer that is a joint-venture or earn-in partner on the project, rather than a shareholder, isn't captured yet.

Reports, Presentations & Documents
Gateway Mining is a Western Australian gold explorer focused on the 100%-owned Yandal gold project, about 1,780 sq km on the eastern flank of the Yandal greenstone belt, which it bought from Strickland Metals for shares in 2025. Yandal's JORC resource is entirely inferred: 8.17 Mt at 1.52 g/t for 400,400 oz of gold across the Horse Well gold camp (291,500 oz) and Dusk 'til Dawn (108,900 oz), with no measured or indicated category. In September 2026 its first reverse-circulation drilling into fresh rock at the Cowza discovery returned 41 m at 2.0 g/t gold, including 9 m at 7.5 g/t, extending Cowza's continuous high-grade strike to 4.5 km, and resource estimation work is planned. Gateway also holds the Barrelmaker project in the East Murchison, now explored for copper-nickel-PGE and lithium, after selling the gold-bearing eastern part of its Montague project to Brightstar Resources in 2024.
