CopperCopper Creek Project, Arizona, USA Map

Faraday Copper is advancing the Copper Creek project in Arizona, a large-scale copper-porphyry system in a historic copper district with over 200,000 metres drilled across 560+ holes. In February 2026 the company signed a non-binding letter of intent to acquire BHP's adjacent San Manuel property, a historic mine and closed tailings facility, aiming to consolidate the ground into a multi-generational copper district.

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal the underlying research identifies — whether a major already holds a JV, earn-in, or 5–19.9% strategic stake — isn't tracked yet and is absent from this score.

Notable shareholders and insiders whose involvement is worth knowing about, plus what we're seeing from institutional/large-investor activity.

Smart money
5/10

The strongest strategic backing in this batch, and none of it was in our holder records before this pass. BHP subscribed cash into Faraday's C$100M placement in March 2026, and in July 2026 signed a definitive agreement to hand over its San Manuel property in Arizona for a 30% stake -- which would take BHP to roughly 32.5% on closing, expected by the end of September 2026 subject to a shareholder vote on 25 August. Alongside it, Nemesia S.a.r.l. -- the Lundin family's investment vehicle -- has bought three times since August 2025 and now holds about 18.6%. Insiders are more mixed than that sounds: two directors subscribed at C$4.20 in the placement, and six insiders sold 4.9 million shares at C$4.59 six days later.
