Acquisition Susceptibility
4.6/10
Unlikely bolt-onFits the takeout profile

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal the underlying research identifies — whether a major already holds a JV, earn-in, or 5–19.9% strategic stake — isn't tracked yet and is absent from this score.

Management Team

Chief Financial Officer and Director of Cariboo Rose Resources Ltd. (CPA, CA). Chartered Professional Accountant with over 30 years' experience in accounting, corporate finance and the mining sector.

Vice President, Secretary and Director of Cariboo Rose Resources Ltd. (B.Sc., P.Geo.). Geologist in mineral exploration with over 45 years' experience; former positions include Placer Dome, Amoco and Norcen. In 1979 formed an exploration and consulting firm operating from Reno and Kamloops before merging with William Morton's firm in 1987.

President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of both Eastfield Resources Ltd. (TSX.V: ETF) and Cariboo Rose Resources Ltd. (TSX.V: CRB) -- two of the affiliated "Eastfield Group" prospect-generator companies (alongside Lorraine Copper Corp. and Consolidated Woodjam Copper Corp.), a real, disclosed cross-company directorship, not a name collision (same structure as fellow Eastfield Group director Glen Garratt, also a single shared Person record in this database). M.Sc., B.Sc., P.Geo. -- a professional geologist for over 40 years, certified P.Geo. since 1991. Previously held positions with Giant Mascot Mines, Sumitomo Metal Mines (Sumac) and Imperial Metals Corporation. In 1986/87, merged his own geological consulting practice with Glen Garratt's to found Eastfield Resources Ltd., which later generated several corporate spinouts including Cariboo Rose Resources Ltd. (2008), Lorraine Copper Corp. (2008) and Consolidated Woodjam Copper Corp. (2011). Independently confirmed via both companies' own current management pages (eastfieldresources.com, cariboorose.com) to be the same individual -- previously recorded as two separate Person records ("James W. Morton" at ETF, "William Morton" at CRB) in this database until merged (Task #776).

Insiders, Investors & Smart Money

Notable shareholders and insiders whose involvement is worth knowing about, plus what we're seeing from institutional/large-investor activity.

Smart money
1/10

Checked directly against the company's own site, which is live and current. It agreed to sell its Zymo and Indata properties to Star Copper Corp in exchange for 10 million Star Copper shares -- that makes Eastfield a shareholder of Star Copper, not the reverse, so it is not evidence of a stake taken in Eastfield. No producer, specialist fund or named institution holds a disclosed position, and there are no insider trading records in our data.

No notable insiders tracked for this miner yet.
