CopperSV2 Copper Project (Sullipek, Vortex and Vallieres zones), Gaspe Peninsula, Quebec (flagship; Sullipek NI 43-101 Inferred resource; 50% of the Vallieres claims in a joint venture with Glencore) Map

1844 Resources Inc. (TSXV: EFF) explores the SV2 copper project on Quebec's Gaspe Peninsula, about 25 km west of the historic Gaspe Copper mine at Murdochville. SV2 combines the Vortex zone (Sullipek East), where a 2012 hole intersected 29 m at 0.94% copper from 5.2 m, and the Sullipek deposit. GoldMinds Geoservices' NI 43-101 estimate of February 2, 2017 reports an Inferred resource of 2.24 Mt at 1.09% copper, about 24,400 t of contained copper, on 1844's portion of the Sullipek deposit; a 1993 estimate over the whole deposit is historical, not current. In October 2025 the company acquired SOQUEM's 50% interest in 20 claims covering the rest of the deposit, in a joint venture with Glencore. It obtained drilling permits in 2025, Explo-Logik operates its 2026 exploration program, and it has engaged a contractor for drilling at Sullipek East.

Acquisition Susceptibility

How this is calculated
5.7/10
Unlikely bolt-onFits the takeout profile

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal in the research, a producer that already owns part of the company, is scored from its disclosed strategic shareholders. A producer that is a joint-venture or earn-in partner on the project, rather than a shareholder, isn't captured yet.

How this score is built

  • Disclosed pending deal

Not scored: most juniors that do get bought had no prior toehold, so a missing stake says little either way.
