DevEx Resources LtdD
DevEx Resources (ASX: DEV) is an Australian explorer whose only mineral resource is rare earths: its 100%-owned Kennedy ionic-clay project in north Queensland holds a maiden inferred resource of 150 Mt at 1,000 ppm total rare-earth oxides, about 150,000 t of TREO (first reported 4 July 2024). Its exploration is focused on uranium: it has consolidated about 9,200 km2 around the historic Nabarlek uranium mine in Arnhem Land, Northern Territory, which produced 24 Mlb of U3O8 at 1.84% from 1979 to 1988 under a different owner, added the Tin Camp Creek tenure from Alligator Energy in June 2026, and is running a 15,000 m, 66-hole drilling program there, with early results reporting Nabarlek-style alteration and shallow uranium mineralisation at the KP and Big Radon targets. No uranium resource has been estimated on its tenure. It held A$27.2M cash with no debt at 30 June 2026.
Notable vs. Peers
- Financials score of 8.3/10 is stronger than the peer average of 4.9/10.
Lifecycle Milestones
Not in place: mill. Not yet determined: road access, grid power.
Jurisdiction (40%)9/10
Northern Territory: Fraser PPI 2025 is 73.83 of 100 (rank 33 of 68), which maps to 9 on this site's scale. Nabarlek Uranium Project sits in the Northern Territory, Australia -- a stable, top-tier mining jurisdiction with an established uranium-mining regulatory framework (the historical Nabarlek mine itself operated 1979-1988 under Northern Territory/Commonwealth oversight).
Infrastructure (40%)4.3/10
No confirmed mill and a confirmed tailings facility at Nabarlek Uranium Project, Alligator Rivers Uranium Province, Northern Territory, Australia; road access and grid power not yet researched, counted at a neutral 5/10 until established.
Nearby producing mine (20%)Not yet researched
No producing mine within 50 km in our reference list (nearest listed: McArthur River (zinc-lead) (Glencore plc), 548 km). That list doesn't cover every mining district yet, so a longer distance isn't scored as remote.
Acquisition Susceptibility
A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal in the research, a producer that already owns part of the company, is scored from its disclosed strategic shareholders. A producer that is a joint-venture or earn-in partner on the project, rather than a shareholder, isn't captured yet.
How this score is built
- Disclosed pending dealSub-score: Not scored
No pending acquisition or merger disclosed (checked)
Not scored: having no deal in flight isn't held against a company.
Weight 26.25% - Producer's strategic stakeSub-score: Not scored
No producer holds a disclosed stake on file (holder register researched) See holders
Not scored: most juniors that do get bought had no prior toehold, so a missing stake says little either way.
