BTU Metals Corp.
BTU Metals Corp. (TSXV:BTU) is a gold exploration company focused on the Red Lake and Wawa gold districts of northern Ontario, Canada. Its Dixie Halo properties wrap around the northeastern, eastern and southern portions of the Great Bear/Kinross Dixie project near Red Lake, and it also holds a 100%-owned Echum project in the Wawa gold area, adjacent to Alamos Gold and Red Pine Exploration ground. A separate Dixie East Block 2 option covers ground roughly 30 km east of the Dixie project. The company also holds a legacy option on the Galway project in the Republic of Ireland. All properties are early-stage (pre-resource); no NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate has been published for BTU's ground.
Lifecycle Milestones
A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal the underlying research identifies — whether a major already holds a JV, earn-in, or 5–19.9% strategic stake — isn't tracked yet and is absent from this score.

Insiders, Investors & Smart Money
Notable shareholders and insiders whose involvement is worth knowing about, plus what we're seeing from institutional/large-investor activity.
Kinross Gold -- a major gold producer -- bought 25,000,000 shares of BTU Metals for CAD$1.25M (17.5% at closing, 22 February 2023), arising from a bundle of 2023 transactions in which Kinross also bought part of the Dixie Halo project for cash and royalties and separately agreed to fund an earn-in of up to 70% of the remaining project over four years through $4.7 million of exploration spending. No sale of Kinross's shares has been reported, but BTU has issued more shares since, so the current diluted percentage is lower than 17.5% -- conflicting recent share-count figures mean it cannot be pinned precisely from public sources today.
