Big Tree Carbon Inc. (TSXV: BIGT, formerly AurCrest Gold Inc., renamed Apr 2022) is a Northwestern Ontario gold explorer whose flagship is the 100%-owned Richardson Lake Gold Property (891 hectares) in the Red Lake Gold Camp -- approximately 100km from Evolution Mining's Campbell mill, 10km north of First Mining Gold's Springpole deposit, and 1km north of the Argosy gold mine. The company also holds the Ranger Lake Gold Property (2,762ha), the McFaulds Lake base metals property, the Western Fold NSR Property (110 claims, ~2,170ha, Brownstone Lake/Casummit Lake townships), and a 35% interest in the Bridget Lake JV property (Red Lake Mining District). The company's Apr 2022 name change reflected a planned forest-carbon-credit venture (a Lac Seul First Nation / AGOKE Development LP forest carbon offset project, with Bluesource as technical partner) -- this did NOT materialize: Bluesource withdrew support after the First Nation declined to endorse the harvesting requirements the project needed to be viable. The company's real current substance remains its dormant gold mineral tenure.

Ontario: Fraser PPI 2025 is 93.70 of 100 (rank 5 of 68), which maps to 9 on this site's scale. Its ground is in the Red Lake Gold Camp of northwestern Ontario, a Tier-1 Canadian jurisdiction. The rating covers jurisdiction only, not the company's own going-concern and compliance risk.

  • Infrastructure (40%)No verified figure

Researched with nothing found: no source we could cite confirms or rules out an existing mill, road access, grid power, or tailings facility at Richardson Lake Gold Property, Red Lake Gold Camp, northwestern Ontario, Canada (checked Oct 5, 2026; recheck due Apr 3, 2027). Counts at a neutral 5/10 until one does.

  • Nearby producing mine (20%)Not yet researched

No project coordinates on file yet, so distance to a producing mine can't be measured.

Acquisition Susceptibility

How this is calculated
4.6/10
Unlikely bolt-onFits the takeout profile

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal in the research, a producer that already owns part of the company, is scored from its disclosed strategic shareholders. A producer that is a joint-venture or earn-in partner on the project, rather than a shareholder, isn't captured yet.

How this score is built

  • Disclosed pending deal
    Sub-score: Not scored

A disclosed corporate action (not an acquisition or merger)

A corporate action of this kind says nothing about takeover susceptibility, so it isn't scored.

    Weight 26.25%
  • Producer's strategic stake
    Sub-score: Not scored

No producer holds a disclosed stake on file (holder register researched) See holders

Not scored: most juniors that do get bought had no prior toehold, so a missing stake says little either way.

    Weight 25%
  • Distance to a producing mine
    Sub-score: Not yet researched

Distance not yet researched: no project coordinates on file

Distance can't be measured without coordinates, so excluded rather than counted as far.

  • Lifecycle stage
    Sub-score:

    Stage: Grassroots Exploration

Feasibility and permitting score 10, where deals cluster, and production 5.5; earlier stages score less, down to 1 at grassroots.
