Advance Metals Limited (ASX: AVM; formerly Pacific American Holdings Limited, renamed June 2022), Mount Hawthorn-based, is a precious-metals explorer with its primary silver/gold asset base in Mexico: the Yoquivo Silver Project (Chihuahua), the Gavilanes Silver Project (Durango) and the Guadalupe y Calvo (GyC) Gold-Silver Project (Chihuahua). It also holds the Myrtleford and Beaufort Gold Projects in Victoria, Australia. Yoquivo carries a current maiden Mineral Resource Estimate reported under the JORC Code, containing 33Moz AgEq. Important REPORTING-STANDARD DISTINCTION (recorded so a later pass does not double-count): AVM's other two headline figures are not JORC resources -- Gavilanes' 22.4Moz AgEq @ 246g/t AgEq and GyC's 60.6Moz AgEq are FOREIGN ESTIMATES (prepared under Canadian NI 43-101 and not yet reviewed or validated by an Australian Competent Person under JORC), which the company itself labels as such; a JORC upgrade for Gavilanes was targeted for early Q4 CY2026 off a maiden drilling program and historical core review.

What goes into it
  • Jurisdiction (40%)6/10

Its flagship silver projects (Yoquivo, Gavilanes, Guadalupe y Calvo) are in Chihuahua and Durango, Mexico, which have a long mining tradition and mining-friendly local government, but real state-level security concerns and an evolving federal mining law.

  • Infrastructure (40%)No verified figure

Researched with nothing found: no source we could cite confirms or rules out an existing mill, road access, grid power, or tailings facility at Yoquivo Silver-Gold Project, Sierra Madre Occidental, Chihuahua, Mexico (checked Sep 30, 2026; recheck due Mar 29, 2027). Counts at a neutral 5/10 until one does.

  • Nearby producing mine (20%)Not yet researched

No project coordinates on file yet, so distance to a producing mine can't be measured.

Acquisition Susceptibility

How this is calculated
4.4/10
Unlikely bolt-onFits the takeout profile

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal in the research, a producer that already owns part of the company, is scored from its disclosed strategic shareholders. A producer that is a joint-venture or earn-in partner on the project, rather than a shareholder, isn't captured yet.

How this score is built

  • Disclosed pending deal
    Sub-score: Not scored

No pending acquisition or merger disclosed (checked)

Not scored: having no deal in flight isn't held against a company.

    Weight 26.25%
  • Producer's strategic stake
    Sub-score: Not scored

No producer holds a disclosed stake on file (holder register researched) See holders

Not scored: most juniors that do get bought had no prior toehold, so a missing stake says little either way.

  • Distance to a producing mine
    Sub-score: Not yet researched

Distance not yet researched: no project coordinates on file

Distance can't be measured without coordinates, so excluded rather than counted as far.

Technical Report Takeaways

Advance Metals explores for silver and gold in Mexico, at the Yoquivo silver project in Chihuahua, the Gavilanes silver project in Durango and the Guadalupe y Calvo gold-silver project in Chihuahua, and also holds the Myrtleford and Beaufort gold projects in Victoria, Australia. Yoquivo carries a maiden JORC resource containing 33 Moz of silver equivalent. The 22.4 Moz silver-equivalent estimate at Gavilanes and the 60.6 Moz silver-equivalent estimate at Guadalupe y Calvo are foreign estimates prepared under NI 43-101 that have not been validated by a Competent Person under the JORC Code, so they are not JORC resources, and a JORC upgrade at Gavilanes was targeted for early in the fourth quarter of 2026. No economic study has been completed on any of the projects.
