GoldReedy Creek and Providence gold projects (Victoria, Australia) Map

Golden Cross Resources Inc. (TSXV: AUX, formerly Zincore Metals Inc., renamed April 2025) is a Vancouver-headquartered, Australia-focused gold explorer, incorporated 2005. Its flagship Reedy Creek and Providence gold projects (445 km2 combined, acquired from Great Pacific Gold Corp) sit in one of Victoria's most active epizonal gold corridors, ~10km northeast of Southern Cross Gold's Sunday Creek discovery. Historical drilling at Reedy Creek returned high-grade intercepts including 11m @ 31.4 g/t Au and 2m @ 174.42 g/t Au. The company graduated from the NEX board to Tier 2 TSXV status and began trading as AUX on April 21, 2025; also trades OTCQB: ZCRMF. NOTE: the ticker's UniverseCandidate record carried the stale name "AUX Resources Corporation" -- a different, unrelated company (Stewart Mining Camp, BC) amalgamated into Scottie Resources Corp (TSXV: SCOT) in 2021, well before this ticker was reassigned to the present company.

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal the underlying research identifies — whether a major already holds a JV, earn-in, or 5–19.9% strategic stake — isn't tracked yet and is absent from this score.

No producer, strategic investor, or resource-sector specialist fund backs this company. Jupiter Fund Management Plc (Jupiter Asset Management), a real UK-based generalist multi-asset manager, discloses a 9.38% stake -- a genuine position, but not a resource-sector conviction bet. A widely-repeated claim that Eric Sprott took a $2,000,000 cash stake here in early 2021 turns out to be a ticker-identity collision, not a real position in this company: that 2021 investment was in a DIFFERENT, unrelated company, "AUX Resources Corporation," which amalgamated into Scottie Resources Corp. in July 2021 (shares exchanged 1:1 for Scottie shares, now trading as TSXV:SCOT) and ceased to exist as an independent, separately-listed entity. Today's TSXV:AUX ("Golden Cross Resources Inc.") is the April 2025 rename of a completely unrelated company, Zincore Metals Inc. -- it only began trading under the "AUX" ticker symbol in 2025, four years after both Sprott's real investment and the old AUX Resources' own dissolution. No connection exists between Eric Sprott and this company. (Corrected 2026-09-01, Task #849 -- confirmed via two independent web searches on the AUX Resources/Scottie amalgamation and the Zincore/Golden Cross rename.)
