GoldDuquesne West Project, Duparquet Township, Quebec Map

Emperor Metals is advancing the Duquesne West gold project in Duparquet Township, Quebec, which it holds under an option to earn a 100% interest that it has not yet exercised, and it owns the nearby Lac Pelletier deposit. Duquesne West's July 2025 estimate of 1.46 million ounces is entirely in the Inferred category, and Emperor presents Lac Pelletier's 2022 estimate as historical while an updated technical report is prepared, so no current resource is counted for the company. Acquisition Susceptibility

How this is calculated
4.6/10
Unlikely bolt-onFits the takeout profile

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal in the research, a producer that already owns part of the company, is scored from its disclosed strategic shareholders. A producer that is a joint-venture or earn-in partner on the project, rather than a shareholder, isn't captured yet.

How this score is built

  • Disclosed pending deal
    Sub-score: Not scored

No pending acquisition or merger disclosed (checked)

Not scored: having no deal in flight isn't held against a company.

  • Producer's strategic stake
    Sub-score: Not scored

No producer holds a disclosed stake on file (holder register researched) See holders

Not scored: most juniors that do get bought had no prior toehold, so a missing stake says little either way.

Emperor Metals did have a corporate shareholder and no longer does. Maritime Resources took 12.5 million shares at C$0.07 — about 10.8% — on 11 March 2025 as payment for the Lac Pelletier claims near Rouyn-Noranda, and then sold the entire block at C$0.16 on 7 November 2025, once the four-month hold had expired. That is the only insider or shareholder activity on file. There are no named institutional or fund holders, no producer or joint-venture partner on the Duquesne West project, and reported institutional ownership is zero.

Technical Report Takeaways

Emperor Metals is advancing the Duquesne West gold project in Duparquet Township, Quebec, and also holds the nearby Lac Pelletier project, bought from Maritime Resources in March 2025. Duquesne West's maiden resource, effective 2 July 2025, is entirely inferred: 26.9 Mt at 1.69 g/t for 1.460 Moz of gold. Its 2026 campaign of more than 20,000 m of new drilling plus 8,000 m of historical core resampling has returned intercepts including 21.3 m at 3.0 g/t gold from 65 m, as the company works toward a preliminary economic assessment.
