Acquisition Susceptibility

How this is calculated
5.1/10
Unlikely bolt-onFits the takeout profile

A relative ranking of how closely this company matches the profile of juniors that have actually been acquired — not a probability, and not a reason to buy. Acquisitions are rare: only a few dozen significant deals happen a year across a universe of thousands of juniors, so even a high score here describes a long shot. The strongest signal in the research, a producer that already owns part of the company, is scored from its disclosed strategic shareholders. A producer that is a joint-venture or earn-in partner on the project, rather than a shareholder, isn't captured yet.

How this score is built

  • Disclosed pending deal
    Sub-score: Not scored

No pending acquisition or merger disclosed (checked)

Not scored: having no deal in flight isn't held against a company.

  • Producer's strategic stake
    Sub-score: Not scored

No producer holds a disclosed stake on file (holder register researched) See holders

Not scored: most juniors that do get bought had no prior toehold, so a missing stake says little either way.

Technical Report Takeaways

A2 Gold is exploring the Eastside gold-silver project, a 94 km2 district-scale system near Tonopah, Nevada. Eastside's resource, effective 30 July 2021, is entirely inferred: 1,090,000 oz of gold and 8.7 Moz of silver in 61,730,000 t at 0.55 g/t gold and 4.4 g/t silver at the Original Pit Zone, plus 314,000 oz of gold in 19,986,000 t at 0.49 g/t at the Castle Area. In 2026 the company completed the acquisition of the adjacent Taylor silver-gold-antimony project, expanding its Nevada holdings to about 230 km2, and it is targeting preliminary economic assessments on Castle and McIntosh. In September 2026 it reported a new zone of gold mineralization about 370 m southwest of the McIntosh resource, with hole ES-347 returning 0.23 g/t gold over 65.5 m, and an 86 m extension of known McIntosh mineralization.
